Why do we go away? So that you can come back? So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors? Things are so different, yet all the same. And the people there see you differently too. Coming back to the place you started is not the same as never leaving.  There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have changed.  Through this we earn a new perspective on the world, on ourselves. Its almost necessary for growth.

Life sometimes takes you into troubled waters, not to drown you, but to cleanse you.

As the waves roll in calmly on the sea shore, it brings with it a sense of peace. Perhaps this is why is offers an escape for so many people. Almost as of to say that there is nothing at all to worry about.

I used to think I kept my cat, but I think it is my cat who keeps me. She clawed her way into my heart, and wouldn't let it go. However, I wouldn't want it any other way. 

I got to the beach just in time to catch the sun falling behind the horizon. The Beautiful colors that were cast onto the clouds made it look like they were catching on fire.

A ship at harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are for.  Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. Dream higher than the sky and deeper than ocean. And when the wind does not blow you away, adjust your sails.

I had the great opportunity to take engagement photos for this beautifully amazing couple. I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know them better. I am excited to share their beautiful, and silly personalities with you. I wish them the best on their journey and a long and happy marriage in the future.
